ODM Leaders' Urgent Appeal to Uhuru Kenyatta [VIDEO]

A section of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) women leaders on Saturday directed a message to President Uhuru Kenyatta following the Miguna Miguna saga.

In the single liner chorus, the women pleaded with the Head of State to see to it that the outspoken leader is allowed to return to his country of birth.

Addressing the press at the party headquarters, their chairperson Catherine Okoth stated: " It is sad that it is sad to lock out a fellow Kenyan in a foreign land."

The women further came to the defense of Raila Odinga's handshake with Kenyatta, castigating Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi over what they claim is an expression of disrespect to the ODM leader.

"We are not happy at all with Mudavadi," asserted the women.

Their statement comes a day after Mudavadi condemned Raila for his new pact with the Jubilee party leader urging him to leave the coalition since he has 'created an alliance with the ruling party.'

The women leaders additionally dismissed Mudavadi alleging that he is in no position to lead the coalition since he has very few MPs in parliament compared to Odinga who has the majority.

"If Mudavadi wants Raila to leave because of his handshake with Uhuru then he should also have Wetangula and his team leave since they recently also had an inside meeting with the Deputy President, William Ruto," noted the women.

They called on the ANC leader to cease his theatrics and stop pushing for selfish gains.

On Friday, Mudavadi sent a statement to newsrooms announcing that Raila Odinga is not a NASA leader but just a principal like all his other three counterparts.
