Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo Involved in Accident

Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo was on Saturday involved in a road accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru Road.

The Orange Democratic Movement MP took to his social media to assure that he was okay.

"Had a minor mishap but thank God we’re safe. Easter tidings to you all," he tweeted on Saturday.

Following his post, Kenyans showed their support by wishing him and thanking God for he was not injured.

"Pole Mweshimiwa Thanks to the Almighty God for His continued care and love for us All. Happy Easter," one user wrote.

Amollo was traveling back to Nairobi after attending some activities in his constituency

"My Pleasure to be Chief Guest at Homa Bay High School Prize Giving Day and to encourage the boys in matters academic and otherwise," he wrote on Friday.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, one person was killed during a head-on collision between a lorry and a bus at the Pangani Interchange in Nairobi.

The driver of the lorry died on the spot. The bus driver survived with injuries on his legs as it was lodged in the dashboard following the impact.

According to witnesses at the scene, the bus veered into a one-way stretch of the road leading to the collision.
