Lastly, Ntuntu has moved the Directorate of Trade from the Department of Trade, Co-operative Development, Tourism and Wildlife to the Department of Finance and Economic Planning.

According to Ntuntu, the order took effect from July 2 and shall remain in place "unless revoked by a subsequent Executive order."

"The County Government of Narok is committed to improving service delivery, enhancing operational efficiency, and aligning directorate functions with evolving county priorities, including environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, digital transformation, and pastoral livelihoods," the notice read.

According to the governor, the county secretary, in collaboration with the County Public Service Board, shall be mandated to oversee the transition of the departments.

Furthermore, Ntuntu has directed the three directorates to ensure that they report to their respective chief officers, who shall then report to the County Executive Committee Members (CECMs).

The directorates have been directed to also ensure that they revise the mandate with the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) and sector-specific priorities.

"The Governor of Narok County, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution and National legislations, issues this Executive Order No. 1 of 2025 on the Reorganisation of County Directorates," the notice read.

"The County Secretary, in consultation with the County Public Service Board, shall oversee the implementation of this Executive Order. Staff redeployments and resource realignment shall follow applicable HR procedures and guidelines," it added.
