Miguna Miguna Heads Back to Canada

Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has allegedly left Dubai after spending nearly five days after being deported from Jomo Kenyatta Airport (JKIA) on Wednesday night.

According to our sources, the lawyer left Dubai on Sunday night and headed for Toronto, Canada aboard Air Canada flight ACA57.

Miguna is said to have travelled on his Canadian passport whose whereabouts were unknown since his arrival back in Kenya.

Sources indicate that Miguna was escorted to his plane out of Dubai by the United Arab Emirates police and that he intends to sue Emirates Airlines for taking him back to Dubai against his will.

During a presser on Friday, KNCHR chairperson Kagwiria Mbogori had indicated that it was not clear whether Miguna had sneaked out his Canadian passport out at JKIA as efforts to convince him to use it at the airport turned futile.

The lawyer had on Sunday applauded United Arab Emirates (UAE) for what he termed as "professional and humane" treatment.

"A senior government official, Sheikh Khalid, is escorting me to go get proper medical tests and treatment arising from the barbaric assault, torture and chemical poisoning by the tyrannical Jubilee regime," Miguna stated.

Miguna was deported after he failed to produce his Canadian passport for clearance at the airport remaining adamant that the government should facilitate his entry as ordered by the High Court.

The following days were full of drama that culminated with police assaulting journalists covering the event at the airport, and Miguna being deported to Dubai under unclear circumstances.

Speaking from Dubai, Miguna alleged that he was sedated by Kenyan police officers before being deported to Dubai.
