"Therefore, on behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff members, I invite you to join us as we move PRISK to greater heights as we realize our vision of being ‘a world-class collective management organization’ promoting the rights of performers," read his inaugural statement on the PRISK website.

He acknowledged that the non- profit organization that was founded in 2009 had made tremendous achievements in streamlining the music industry in Kenya.

"We have put in place a scientific distribution system that ensures transparency and accountability in the distribution of royalties to our members and non-members. Currently, we have introduced a new technology in licensing that will ensure that all transactions are done online thereby increasing efficiency and effectiveness in the collection of license fees and disbursement of licenses.

"This will significantly increase our collections and consequently increase the royalties we pay our members," he added.

The chairman conveyed that while in office he was determined to consistently provide first-class services to all industry players.

"We appreciate that without an enabling environment within which to operate, our work would be rendered impossible. We will continue to draw inspiration from our membership made up of both musicians and actors. As the Kenyan entertainment and performance landscape continues to develop, this provides opportunities for PRISK’s ever-expanding role and leadership in protecting the rights of performers. Additionally, we are determined to tap into new areas of opportunity especially in forging international links and partnerships with other CMOs," he stated.

Nonini will join a board of Director that comprises of Beatrice Achieng, Irene Kariuki, Owen Mwatia aka Daddy Owen, David Mathenge aka Nameless, Ian Mbugua and Samuel Kuria.
