Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has explained why he believes Deputy President William Ruto needs self-styled National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna to become President in 2022.
In the latest episode of his weekly show The Fifth Estate, Ngunyi and his team opined that with Miguna in his corner, Ruto would be able to neutralize National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.
Ngunyi suggested that Raila could use his newfound partnership with President Uhuru Kenyatta to undermine his chances of ascending to the Presidency.
"To become President, you must buy Miguna. You must pump money into the cause of this man.
"If you support him, he will neutralize Raila for you. And if you do not neutralize Raila, he will complicate your bid for the Presidency," the team opined.

Stating that DP Ruto would be made President, Ngunyi explained that the 'hustler nation' would be responsible for getting him to State House.
The 'hustler nation', Ngunyi noted, was made up of low-earning working Kenyans who were inspired by Ruto's rise to the top.
He opined that Ruto could capitalize on this to rally supporters from all communities against an anti-political dynasties agenda.
"Ruto is not ashamed of his past as a hustler, In fact he carries these labels of shame on his shoulder with pride.
"And because of this he will walk into the Presidency as a former chicken seller and he will represent our aspirations as a nation of hustlers with Pride," Ngunyi elucidated.
