How to Buy Kenya Power Tokens When Experiencing Delays

Kenya Power Company on Monday explained how its clients can purchase tokens in case they are experiencing delays.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, KPLC corporate affairs office representative Kevin Sang maintained that prepaid token users can purchase them from Kenya Power's banking halls all over the country.

The company had been experiencing delays in generating of tokens for clients who buy via their virtual wallets.

To buy tokens, one will need to personally visit the Kenya Power banking halls and get help from the cashiers at the vending machines.

Inform the cashier of the amount you want to purchase, for example, if it's Ksh1000 give the cashier the money and they will generate tokens from their vending machines.

Kenyans had expressed their frustration over the delays in getting power tokens but the Power distributor has come out to offer a solution.

Kenya Power earlier in the day sent messages to its customers informing them of the alternative means of solving the situation.

“Dear esteemed customer, we are experiencing delays in prepaid token generation. You can buy tokens from our banking halls countrywide,” the statement from Kenya Power read.

“Please bear with us as we resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” the short message added.

In 2017, the firm upgraded its Customer Management System which was meant to give its customers new account numbers.

It was also aimed at making it easier for customers to apply for electricity connections, query bills, check, download and print bill statements, and check their consumption patterns, among other services.
