Police Officer Threatens to Shoot Taxi Driver at Kasuku Center

A video of a police officer threatening a taxi driver working with the Little Ride taxi company has emerged online.

Reports indicate that the driver and his female client mistakenly used the exit to access Kasuku Center Mall in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

This angered the police officer who took issue with the driver resulting in a scuffle.

Here is the video:

The passenger is heard putting the cop to task why he had assaulted her driver an issue that the unidentified officer fails to respond to.

Instead, the policeman shoves the driver backwards while further threatening to have him locked up as a female officer who was following the incident walks away.

Other sources claim that the driver was later on booked in at Kileleshwa Police Station with many Kenyans expressing that such a minor offence didn't warrant the officer's reaction.

The video comes weeks after a similar incident of a Kenya Police officer brutally attacking a civilian in Industrial Area, Nairobi went viral.

Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang'i on Tuesday expressed his concern over the earlier incident which was captured on video.

“I was as outraged as most Kenyans were. You can do your work as a police officer without getting to that point.

On its part, the National Police Service (NPS) had indicated: "The Police officer captured on a video clip (Industrial Area) assaulting an individual has been positively identified and is being processed for disciplinary action."
