Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Friday disclosed what would happen to the commission's CEO Ezra Chiloba if he is found guilty of the accusations held against him.
Addressing journalists at the IEBC Anniversary Tower offices, Chebukati noted: "If the CEO is found guilty, he will be subjected to disciplinary proceedings in accordance to the commission's human resource policy and the law. Which includes a fair hearing."
He also stated that the audit report will inform the commission's next cause of action and their way forward.

Speaking on the suspension of his CEO, Chebukati asserted: "The suspension was to pave way for financial audit and accountability as anchored in the law."
He noted that the taxpayers need to know how sums of money were misused during and after the August 2017 general election.
Chebukati further dismissed claims stated by the three commissioners who resigned on Monday, that he is not providing the commission with proper leadership.
"Supposition that the commission has ganged up against any commissioner is misleading and only seeks to distract focus on the real issues affecting the commission," exclaimed Chebukati.
IEBC Vice Chair Consolata Maina and commissioners Margaret Mwachanya and Paul Kurgat resigned on Monday citing that Chebukati failed to give proper leadership.
"The Commission Chair has failed to be the steady and stable hand that steers the ship in difficult times and gives directions when needed," declared the officials.
The Commission chair who was in the company of the two remaining officers, Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu, added that the commission is created by the law and should, therefore, be given time to settle its disputes.
