Twitter Lights Up as Boni Khalwale Declines Governor Wycliffe Oparanya's Job Offer

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya had on Tuesday offered Boni Khalwale, a former senator of his county, the post to chair the bullfighting festivities.

However, Khalwale blatantly turned down the offer made during the Devolution Conference 2018 terming the move by the county boss as delusional.

"The amazing power and gravitas of the content my character! Governor Oparanya’s consciousness is in complete paranoia," the former senator hit back on Twitter.

This latest development saw Kenyans seize the moment to throw in humor both at the outrageous job offer and Khalwale's seemingly irritated reaction.

Oparanya had no good intention to bonny by telling him he will appoint bonny in charge of bullfighting. That's to curtail the rise of bonny and it will not work

Some made fun of the fact that the former Member of Parliament is not holding any political position hence reminding him a beggar is not a chooser.

The Kakamega county chief's job offer to the former Senator as the man in charge of bullfighting was meant to be a means to spur tourism in the county.

In the light-hearted comment during his opening address to the conference congregation, Oparanya had noted that the bullfighting festival was one of the major tourist attractions in his county.

However, a section of Kenyans read mud-slinging and political undertones in the announcement especially over the succession of Oparanya who is his final term as the county boss.

I told you @KBonimtetezi Oparanya is supporting @AMB_A_Mohammed for Kakamega governorship come 2022 she also has full support from the government maybe IEBc too nikujipanga my friend
