Lupita Nyong'o Backs New Creatives Project in Kisumu

Black Panther star Lupita Nyong'o landed in Kisumu on Saturday and is expected to invest in a new creatives project to be launched in the county.

While details remain scarce, Lupita arrived accompanied by international players who are expected to back a new project targeting artists and other creatives.

The project is expected to benefit creatives not just from Kenya but the entire region.

She later met some Kenyan artists and administrators in what is believed to be laying the groundwork for the project.

The County Government has also been roped in to help facilitate the proposed venture.

Lupita was received at 10 am by county government officials who came in a convoy of 15 vehicles.

They were reportedly unaware of who the high-profile visitor was until they saw her emerge.

Members of the press were also warned against taking photos of the Oscar-winning actress.

Currently riding high on the success of Marvel movie Black Panther, Lupita arrived in Kenya from Nigeria where she was on a short visit.

She reportedly flew to Nairobi after her low-profile trip to Kisumu.

Fans had been[caption caption="Lupita Nyong'o"][/caption] dissapointed when she missed the local premiere of the film in Kisumu in February.

Lupita, however, sponsored 1,200 students from the county to watch the movie even in her absence.
