The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a detailed weather forecast report alerting on when you should expect heaviest rainfall between Tuesday, May 8 and Monday, May 14.
According to the weatherman, Nairobi and Central region are expected to receive heavy showers on Wednesday and Sunday.
These showers are expected in the afternoon and evening in Nairobi County, Kiambu, Murang'a, Nyandarua, Meru, Tharaka, Embu, Kirinyaga, and Nyeri with a possibility of showers in some of the counties on other days.

In the coastal region, the rains are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday both in the morning and early afternoon.
Besides, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu and Tana River county are expected to receive light showers in some parts during the forecast interval.
The Lake Victoria Basin and Rift Valley region will receive morning rains in a few places on Tuesday and evening showers in some parts during the period under forecast.
In Makueni, Kitui, Taita Taveta, and Machakos, afternoon showers are expected between Tuesday and Thursday and on Sunday.
Turkana, West Pokot, and Samburu county will have a possibility of rains on Thursday morning and showers on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo will experience showers in some parts on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The Meteorological Department has further revealed that the Nairobi flood alert doing rounds on social media did not originate from the authority.
Flooding is likely to continue occurring during the first half of the forecast period, especially in low-lying and poorly drained areas with Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu and Tana River counties put on heavy rains advisory.
