Body of Murdered Gatunguru High School Principal Found in His Car

  • Gatunguru High School Principal, Sammy Mbogo's body was found murdered in Kiharu, Murang’a County.

Mbogo’s mutilated body was discovered dumped in the boot of his car which had been abandoned at Gakurwe area on the Murang’a-Kiriaini road.

Mathioya OCPD Charles Mutua confirmed the incident adding that the body was found naked, with tongue and eyes gouged out by residents of the area who noticed drops of blood near the vehicle.

Area Chief Stephen Komu noted that they suspected the killers were on their way to dispose of the principal’s body but after the car broke down they fled the scene.

Komu further added that after going to the deceased’s home, blood stains were discovered raising suspicion Mbogo could have been murdered in his house.

“We suspect that he was killed in his house because at his home we also found drops of blood and his daughter who is about 8 years old told us that two men whom she had never seen before came to their home last night,” Komo stated.

The wife of the deceased was arrested to assist police in further investigations and according to the chief, Mbogo and his wife had severally engaged in domestic disputes.

“We understand that the two were in a rocky marriage and the wife had at one point injured the deceased. So when we look at all these events we highly suspect the wife’s involvement in this latest incident,” Komu maintained.

Meanwhile, four suspected thugs were Saturday night shot dead and a pistol that had been robbed from a slain policeman recovered from them in Dandora area, Nairobi.
