United Kindom Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson reached out to Education CS Amina Mohammed to support his push for equality in educating girls.
Boris who is also the Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip expressed his excitement when he saw CS Amina at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR) in Geneva Switzerland.
"We're both making the case that education for girls is a fundamental human right and sexism blocks girls from a bright future," he stated.

While drumming support for his initiative Leave No Girl Behind, the foreign secretary called on leaders to ensure that all girls receive the education they deserved.
"Educating our daughters with the same care that we educate our sons is the single and most powerful spur to development and progress.

"We could solve the majority of the world's most serious problems from infant mortality, unemployment, civil war, unsustainable population growth and loss of habitat indeed we could achieve virtually every sustainable development goal if only we could provide every girl in the world with at least 12 years of quality education," he conveyed.
He added that the UK government had devoted Ksh66 Billion to the cause of female education while helping 1.4 million girls in 15 countries.
"We can build the schools and train the teachers and surmount all other barriers. In the end it is only a question of priorities and of will.
"In the name of simple justice and fairness let us give every girl in the world 12 years of quality education," he reiterated.
Statitistics complied by United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI) showed that female literacy levels between the ages of 15 and 24 were higher than men standing at 94 percent and 92 percent respectively.
