Former Citizen TV Journalist Salim Swaleh Joins NTV

Former Citizen TV news anchor has confirmed his move to Nation Media Group days after he quit his job at Royal Media Services (RMS). In a post seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Salim Swaleh changed his social media profile to include his new job at NTV.

In the news house, Swaleh has been assigned as a Senior News Anchor, news producer and African affairs expert and researcher.

NTV newsroom communication team indicated that the journalist will be unveiled in due time at the station.

“We will release an official statement about his to Nation Media soon,” a source at NTV indicated.

The journalist resigned from Royal Media Service (RMS) in the last week of May.

The move was triggered by allegations that he was spying for Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

Claims had it that he recorded a damning conversation where Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho was uttering unkind words against Sonko.

However sources indicated that the move aimed clear his was to move to NTV after being poached by Peter Opondo, his former boss at RMS.

It is also reported that NTV is set to launch a new news team after a massive exodus of its journalist to Citizen TV.

Some of the Journalist include Victoria Rubadiri, Linus Kaikai and Jamila Mohammed.
