Pupils, parents and teachers at St Gabriel Primary School in Nyatike on Thursday stormed Macadar Police Station demanding the immediate arrest of an Administration Police officer they accused of sodomizing pupils.
12 pupils believed to among the officer's victims were taken to Macalder Sub-County hospital in Nyatike, Migori County for medical examinations.
The protests started out peacefully but the crowd turned hostile after they felt that police officers in the area led by Nyatike OCPD John Masili were shielding the suspect.
They further claimed that Nyatike Childrens' Officer Joyce Anyango had been threatened as she sought to collect evidence to back a case against the officer.
A teacher revealed that the officer had been luring pupils using laptops and money to his home.

The school's administration got suspicious when they found three boys with a laptop which they said they got from the officer.
They called a school assembly and multiple students revealed they had had similar experiences.
"We grew suspicious as the officer always roamed around the school and asked boys to meet him outside.
“He used laptops and money to entice the boys, some as young as 12. We fear that older boys from nearby secondary schools were involved," the teacher stated.
Migori County police chief Joseph Nthenge promised to take action on the officer if the medical reports proved the claims.
“If the reports implicates the officer, then we will have to arrest and prosecute him. But for now, we cannot do anything, legally speaking,” he asserted.
