Nairobi Roads to Be Closed on Saturday

Sections of five key roads in Nairobi will be closed on Saturday, July 7 to allow for the planned Diabetes Walk, the Traffic Commandant has announced.

In a release sent to newsrooms on Thursday, motorists were notified that the roads would be closed from 6 am to 12 noon to facilitate the walk.

Details of how traffic would be redirected were also released thereby allowing road users to plan their trips accordingly.

The roads that will be affected are Haile Selassie Avenue, Uhuru Highway and Mombasa, Lang'ata and Hospital Roads.

Motorists driving towards the Central Business District (CBD) from the general direction of Lang'ata were advised to instead use the Southern Bypass to Mombasa Road before connecting to one of Lusaka, Jogoo or Landhies roads to get to the CBD.
