School Girl Brutally Attacks Rapist With Knife

A form three student at Nyamome Secondary School in Suna West location is reported to have fearlessly wrestled with her would-be rapist, stabbing him in the abdomen.

According to Migori police, the student knifed and seriously injured a man who had tried to rape her as she walked to school.

After attacking the man, the girl is stated to have rushed to Migori police station where she reported the incident.

The police also divulged that she sought the assistance of another female schoolmate who bumped into her as she struggled with the man.

The other girl, according to police, allegedly helped her to wrestle the knife from the attacker.

Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge confirmed the incident adding that they have already launched investigations into what may have happened.

"The girl immediately made a report at the police station while accompanied by her parents and another female student from the same school. She said she had been attacked by a man known to her while on her way to school.

"The girl reported that she snatched the knife from the man and used it to defend herself. We are investigating these claims," the police commander commented.

The man, Unuss Barakat, is currently fighting for his life at the Ojele Memorial hospital where he was rushed by people who found him writhing in pain.

However, speaking to the Standard, Barakat denied the claims alleging that the student is his former girlfriend.

He, however, could not explain why he was on the same way the student used at 6 am in the morning.
