Radio Guru Alex Mwakideu Ditches Radio Maisha For Milele FM

Standard Media group has suffered a blow after popular radio presenter Alex Mwakideu quit Radio Maisha.

In a social media post seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the radio guru revealed that he is leaving the station after working there for 8 years.

“Whatever has a beginning must come to an end...I will miss Radio Maisha and I will always remember the first day the we official launched this station during my show,” he posted.

He made this announcement moments after hosting his morning show ‘Maisha Asubuhi.’

The breakfast show is among the most listened to radio programmes in the country.

Captain Mwakideu is set to join Mediamax owned Milele FM according to Business Today and has left the show in the hands of Otoyo. The latter was the surprise co-host after it was first alleged Chipukeezy would be the one to fill up Jalango's shoes. 

Mediamax has poached several radio personalities in the recent past in the effort of improving its ranking in the county.

It has hired comedians Jalang’o and Wilbroda as well as Francis Luchivya and Joyce Gituro from Royal Media Services (RMS.)

In the recent ther has been a mass exodus of media personalities from one media house to another.
