Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja Takes on Jubilee Leadership

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja over the weekend looked back at the country’s political past and believes real change has been realized in the political class.

The Senator, judging by the past stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta was under a curse but was only redeemed in recent days by prayerful Kenyans.

He made the remarks citing President Uhuru’s unity deal with opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Sakaja held that President Kenyatta and Mr Odinga’s discourse would remain unshaken despite the jitters across the political divide.

Rais wetu Uhuru Kenyatta ambaye nyinyi mlimuombea, si mnajua alikua amelaaniwa hapo mbeleni? Walisema ataenda Hague, walisema atafungwa jela. Ati siasa zetu zitakuwa za kama uko Jubilee uchukie mtu ako NASA,”

(Our President Uhuru Kenyatta whom you intercede for. You all know he was under a curse, they said he’ll go to the Hague, that he will be jailed. Our politics would be that of Jubilee members hating politicians in NASA)" Sakaja told a congregation this weekend.

The Senator took on a section of Jubilee party leaders opposed to the unity deal terming them as “enemies of Kenya.”

Kufikiria Rais Uhuru Kenyatta  alijitoa pahali yuko akaenda akatafuta adui wake mkubwa zaidi, Raila Odinga, akasema tukae chini, shika handshake. Mnafikiria ilikua jambo rahisi? Ilikuwa uwezo wa binadamu? Hiyo ilikuwa idhini ya Mungu kuwa ripoti ya Kenya ibadilike iwe ya amani.

(President Kenyatta moved to approach his greatest enemy. They sat together and shook hands. Do you think it was easy? Was it by any person’s making? It was God’s plan so that the Country affairs turn to peace)" held Senator Sakaja.

He castigated sections of the ruling party for being opposed and linking the Mau Forest eviction to the unity deal between the president and Mr Odinga.

"No matter who you are, we have a leader in this country and you cannot continue rubbishing the directives and plans of President Uhuru Kenyatta to unite the country and fight corruption. We will not allow it.

"They should stop preoccupying themselves with seats, positions and elections. It is not about positions. It is about respect. Politicians think about the next elections but true leaders think about the next generations," affirmed Senator Sakaja.

The Senator later joined ODM leader Raila Odinga in watching Gor Mahia Play AF Leopards on Sunday.
