Comedian Eddie Butita has set new standards by recording comedy specials in two languages; English and Kiswahili in one night.
The comedy specials are titled ‘Not fine to be fine’ recorded in English and ‘24 hours in Kariobangi’ done in Swahili.
In ‘24 hours in Kariobangi’, he talks about the travails of life in the popular estate where he claims to have been born and raised.

He became the first comedian in Africa to engage a live audience on comedy in two languages in one session.
He posted the clips on social media and encouraged his fans to watch after which the comment section was flooded with positive comments from supporters appreciating his humour and creativity.
“Thumbs up bro, I can’t get enough of this on YouTube,” one netizen stated with another quipping on the funny bits of his lines noting: “Ati Beyonce anafua? (so Beyonce does laundry as well?).”
The ‘one man two comedy specials’ as Butita described them, were recorded on June 13 but he only just recently shared them.
The comedian has been a long-running stand-up comic on NTV’s Churchill Show which he started in 2010.
His work has led him to be a panelist on NTV show, The Trend. He has performed in shows such as Kenya’s Laugh Festival, the Hot Seat and the popular Kids Laugh Festival.

The comedian who studied graphic design in also works as a master of ceremony for events and writes scripts for theatre productions.
