Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has touched the hearts of many Kenyans after a video of him gifting a man who had been dumped went viral.
The video taken on July 22, shows Sakaja rewarding a member of Jesus Winner Ministry in Roysambu with Kshs. 50,000 after his fiancee rejected him for being broke.
The man was dumped after his lover realized he could not afford a befitting wedding for her.
“I have heard a story about a man who was dumped because of being poor. He is our own, even if they reject him, he is ours,"
To the bewilderment of the congregation, the Senator pledged he would give the man a stipend of Kshs. 15,000 every month.
“You had promised that you will employ him with a monthly pay of fifteen thousand, I will add a similar amount to his pay every month,” Sakaja addressed the pastor.
The Jubilee politician also promised that he would provide his Prado car to carry the man and his bride during their wedding should there be one.
“Use the money to plan for your wedding and don’t worry about your transportation, I will provide my car,” Sakaja advised the overjoyed man who was tightly hugging him.
He also mentioned that he would attend the ceremony if invited.
“Certain things in life happen for a reason and the bible says blessed are those who wait upon the Lord,” the Senator told the congregants.
