2 More Comedians Hired to Be Jeff Koinange's Co-host at Hot 96

Royal Media-owned Hot 96 has resorted to rotating comedians to co-host the breakfast show with Jeff Koinange following Jalango’s exit.

On Monday, August 6, Jeff hosted the morning show with comedian Sleepy David.

However, details have emerged that Sleepy isn’t a permanent replacement to Jalang'o who left for Milele FM.

The radio station has opted to hire two other stand-up comedians, Oga Obinna and Prof Hamo as rotational morning show presenters.

Sleepy David was the first entertainer in Kenya to launch a mobile game, “Keep Sleepy Awake”, where fans get to see some of his comic twists.

Obinna Ike Igwee doubles up as an emcee, TV host, musician, an actor and gagster who is popularly known for his fanatical heavy Nigerian accent.

Professor Hamo, whose real name is Herman Gakobo Kago, is a top feature comic on ‘Churchill Show’ and a brand ambassador for Star Times.

Allegations have it that the three are in a ‘trial run’ to see who is best fit to host the programme.

Jalang’o co-hosted ‘The Hot Breakfast’ alongside Jeff Koinange for a year before quitting in July.

In Milele FM, he linked up with former colleagues Joyce Gituro, Francis Luchivya and Wilbroda also known as Jacky Nyaminde.

This was big blow for Royal Media Services as the bromance between Jalas and Jeff had made JeffAndJalasOnHot96 one of the most popular breakfast radio shows.
