UK Top Architectural Firm Designs the Largest Integrated Mall in Nairobi

Leading design enterprise, aLL Design in partnership with Kiloran Development Group is constructing a jaw-dropping real estate facility set to reshape Nairobi’s shopping experience.

The new mall, named The Beacon, will be located on the eastern side of Uhuru Highway near the Bunyala Roundabout.

The mixed-use facility due for completion in 2020 is set to occupy a whopping 306,771 square feet as indicated by a business report done by Business Daily Africa.

All of Kenya’s large malls are located in residential areas hence making The Beacon the largest such facility to find home in the capital’s central business district.

"The construction budget is confidential at this stage of the project," indicated aLL Design.

According to the design company, the mall is bound to redefine the leisure landscape in the city due to the building’s exciting offers.

Taking an open-air format, the mall will incorporate food, beverage and retail spaces in an area that is close to Upper Hill, CBD and Industrial Area.

Further, the mall will feature a seven storey office complex that will house tens of Grade A offices. The office tower will take a total of 4,200 square meters in space.

"The building will be an architectural legacy for Nairobi that will serve to promote tourism," the firm said.

aLL Design is famed for building iconic architectural marvels such as Peckham Library and the Cardiff Bay Visitor Centre.

Stakeholders in the project are optimistic that the project will revitalize urban-based leisure and tourism activities.

Kiloran Development Group is the entity behind the construction of Cedar Mall, located at the heart of Nanyuki Town in Laikipia County.
