The parliamentary session on Thursday was marred with drama during the discussion for President Uhuru Kenyatta's Tax proposal.
Preceding over the session was Narok Women Rep Soipan Tuya who called for members to vote by acclamation for motions in the House.
During the voting session, the members were required to either shout 'Ayes' in favour or 'Nay' when opposing the motion.
Kenyans online were keen on the proceedings noting something peculiar in how the voting was conducted.
"This parliament though! The nays are louder than the Ayes but still, the ayes have it! So what is the point of asking when all of you have made up your minds!" one user posted.
Others who were streaming the session live, concurred with the observation.
"I thought I was the only one wondering about this!!! Kumbe siko peke yangu," another added.
Another netizen echoed the sentiment stating; "I thought I was the only one with ear deficiency."
"Hold on. How did the Chair say the ayes have it, yet the No votes were clearly more?" one posed.

The afternoon session proved to be more dramatic as zero! zero! zero! chants strongarmed the atmosphere in Parliament.
In the end, the president's tax proposals were passed in parliament amid protests by lawmakers.
Parliament could not raise the required 233 majority votes to shoot down the VAT proposals in the Financial Bill 2018.
