Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Amina Mohammed has made an international debut after being selected to receive the 2018 Women of Excellence Award.
According to the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), the coveted annual award " honours women who, while succeeding in their own right, are also ensuring the success of other women".
"This Award is in recognition of my contribution to governance, diplomacy and education in Kenya and Africa at large," a delighted Amina stated.
"I am grateful to my family, friends and colleagues for their continued support," the CS added.
NAFE further indicates that the recipients are recognized for "breaking ground and working inside and outside their organizations to create smoother trails for women and girls that follow".
