Wife to Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Violet Nzisa, in Trouble Over Ksh730,000

The wife to Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Violet Nzisa, appeared in court after she was cited for contempt.

Nzisa was directed to appear in court last Friday after she was arrested for contempt and released on Ksh100,000 personal bond.

On October 13, 2017, Nzisa was ordered to pay Martha Onganga Ksh738,721 after she hit the latter with a car in 2016 but she failed to do so.

Ms Onganga, who is a police officer attached to Central Police Station in Nakuru, told the court she had not received the money Nzisa was directed to pay her.

On the fateful day, the police officer was on her way to Kaptembwo police station on a motorcycle when the accident occurred.

“I sustained a spinal injury and was admitted to Kijabe Hospital for five months. I instituted the suit and the court ruled in my favour. I am yet to receive the money,” Onganga stated.

The officer had asked for general damages, payment of future medical expenses and any other relief the court might have deemed fit.

On Monday, Nzisa told the court she did not have enough money to pay Onganga Ksh100,000 every month as she had pledged.

The wife to the Nakuru Town East lawmaker, however, pledged that she be paying Ksh20,000 monthly instead to the police officer.

The matter was mentioned in another court, as the trial court was not sitting.

Through her lawyer, Nzisa requested to have the matter mentioned on October 4.
