Kenyan Frustrates Conman Into Apologizing

A Kenyan man on Sunday frustrated his would-be conman into apologizing after employing a lethal tactic.

The tweep by the name @mmmicheni revealed how he received a common text from fraudsters who pose as mobile money loaning agencies.

Interestingly, the message originated from a different SIM card from the one associated with the alleged loaning facility.

Disappointed, the netizen revealed that he embarked on frustrating the con after reporting him to the authorities.

"So I wasn't too pleased that they were trying to con me, but I'm not a man to back down from a fight," Micheni narrated his ordeal.

"Having reported the contact to Safaricom fraud team via sending the contact to 333, it was time to shift gears and begin investing on our Airtel-Airtel friendship. I sent him multiple copies of his own texts multiple times," he stated.

In his account of events which was accompanied by screenshots, he spammed the con with massive texts including numerous music lyrics, a Sunday sermon and random chats.

Micheni revealed that his intention was to jam the fraudster's phone with content hence preventing him from engaging in his conning games.

The efforts finally paid off as the frustrated conman called Micheni pleading with him to stop texting.

"Tafadhali naomba tu uache kunitumia messages. Naomba tafadhali (Please stop messaging me. I beg you).

"Message inajaa kwa simu yangu ata siezi fanya kitu. Nakuomba pole basi (My phone is full of messages I cannot even operate it. Forgive me)," the conman bowed to pressure.

A search by Kenyans.co.ke revealed that the con has registered the contact on Truecaller as "Mshwari Customer Care" to fake authenticity.
