Bunge FC Loses 7-3 to Kisimani Boys FC

A football team comprised of Parliamentarians, Bunge FC, was challenged to an embarrassing 7-3 defeat at home by Kisimani Boys FC from Kyeni North Ward.

The friendly match was organised by Runyenjes Member of Parliament Muchangi Karemba at Parklands sports club in Nairobi.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen scored two goals while a National Assembly staff, who could only be identified as Jimmy, put one past Kisimani Boys which proved to be too good for the parliamentary side to conquer.

Muchangi took to Twitter to congratulate the winners and acknowledge the senator’s performance.

Murkomen, through a tweet, also admitted that his team was no match for their competitors.

The match was arranged by the MP, through Karemba Care Foundation, to promote local sports talent.

Content manager for Muchangi revealed to Kenyans.co.ke that other matches are in the works with the senator hinting at a return match at Runyenjes.

Bunge FC coach, who is a former Harambee Stars player, expressed that he was highly impressed by Kisimani Boys.

Netizens took the legislator’s post as an invitation to congratulate and also ridicule the lawmakers about their football skills.

Other Parliamentarians who played include, Victor Munyaka, Aaron Cheruiyot, Gideon Keter, Cleophas Malala, Wafula Wamunyinyi, and Kanini Kega.
