Speaker Kenneth Lusaka Blatantly Ridicules Moses Wetangula Over 2022 Presidential Ambitions

Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka condemned Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula as an indecisive politician.

Speaking during a burial at Makutano village in Kanduyi constituency, Lusaka insisted that Wetangula has been a confused leader whenever he plans to vie for Presidency.

"We need serious leaders who announce the candidature for the top seat and mean it.

"We don’t need people who are out to auction us. Let them mean what they say and say what they mean. Luhyas should not be made into a laughing stock," stated Lusaka.

Lusaka's comments were echoed by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, who stated that the Nasa co-principal needed to be bold if he wanted to revive his political career.

"Wetang’ula always claims he is the only chosen leader in Luhya land who can finish the work of Bukusu legends, the late Masinde Muliro and the former Vice President Michael Kijana Wamalwa. But his casual approach is disturbing," stated Barasa.

He further demanded that the Ford Kenya leader should make up his mind fast on the direction he intends to take, come 2022.

“He should either chose to vie for the presidency or leave it to somebody else.

"He has been giving false hopes to other leaders and his supporters since 2007. His name has never been on the presidential ballot paper.

"We want to support selfless leaders and not political brokers," remarked the Kimilili MP.

On October 3, Johnstone Muthama, revealed that he had approached Wetangula on a way to solve the disagreement within the Nasa coalition.

"I have talked to Wetangula and I've tried to explain to him what brought about all this discord in the coalition. We are still in talks," remarked the former Machakos Senator.
