Eric Omondi Emerges Best Comedian in Africa at AEAUSA Awards Ceremony

Eric Omondi on Sunday emerged the best comedian in Africa at the African Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA) held in New Jersey.

The award winners were decided by the number of votes a nominee garnered from their supporters.

The comedian who was the host for the event, could not contain his excitement as he took to his Instagram page sharing photos to showcase the award.

Omondi beat his fellow comedian Vinnie Chipukeezy and other comedians from Africa to the prize after the two had been nominated for the Best Comedian in Africa category.

The awards ceremony that was founded by Dominic Tamin, aimed at using entertainment as a means to support, celebrate, promote, and uplift the achievements and advancements of all Africans and Africans in the Diaspora through all entertainment forms.

The former Churchill Show comedian, established himself on the international platform through various events and funny stunts abroad.

His most recent stunt was a case where he dressed up as a witch doctor in the United States and fooled some of the residents of New York city.

"So I went to New York City disguised as an African Traditional Medicine man (Witch Doctor) even ran a 20 minutes Ad on the Digital Billboards… A few minutes after set up… business was booming," read the caption on Omondi's video.

Aside from him being a comedian, Omondi has also worked as an MC in several events both locally and internationally.
