The DCI officers have already commenced the process of hunting down suspects in the concealed goods that were packed in several cartons.

Earlier in the day, the officers recovered 5,684 long rolls and 316 stones of bhang ready for sale in Taita Taveta County.

The sleuths are pursuing the suspects who abandoned vehicle they were using to transport the drugs believed to be worth millions. They fled from the scene leaving their car full of the illicit packs at Ndara area.

In Meru County, the officers seized bhang being transported to peddlers in Embu town. The 3-month long trial of the peddlers ended with the impounding of 50 stones of bhang estimated to be not less than Ksh500,000.

The suspects who were using a probox car also fled on noticing the officers from afar. The drug dealers had a weighing machine and some Ksh5,000 that were all kept to help in the probe.
