Billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi has returned to his job at Capital FM after his continuous recovery from a long fight with cancer.
Kirubi, who is popularly known by listeners as DJ CK, hosts a show called 'The Fuse' alongside Anne Mwaura and Miano Muchiri.
His return to the waves was announced on Twitter through the program’s official handle.
“The Dynamic Trio of @ItsAnneMwaura, @mianomuchiri, and Dr. Dj @CKirubi are back on air!!” read the tweet.
It comes a day after photos surfaced showing a lively Kirubi with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on the sidelines of the Sustainable Blue Economy Conference at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
The photo warmed the hearts of many well-wishers who were pleased to see the shrewd businessman going out and about.
He posted the photo on Twitter with the caption, “I met my old time friend @UKenyatta today @BlueEconomyKe conference. This new frontier will help develop the economy & enable us to take advantage of our water resources in a sustainable way.”
One Philip Nderitu replied, “How owesome [sic] is our God, Chris Kirubi is back n smiling...get well soon..we need u in this dynamic economy."
James Kimani wished the DJ a healthy life stating, “I'm happy to see you are back with a bang and with good health. Mungu akuride [sic] DJ CK.”
The tycoon, who is in his seventies, is considered one of Kenya’s foremost self-driven businessmen and has invested in several publicly listed as well as private companies.
