DP William Ruto Issues Stern Warning to His Opponents

Deputy President William Ruto, on Saturday, vowed to take action against other leaders who try to sabotage President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development record.

Speaking at Kathaka Village in Kirinyaga county, the DP accused the leaders of dragging the country's development.

I will not allow anyone to halt the President’s projects and if you try to stop the government’s work, I will deal with you.

Jubilee’s priority is the construction of roads and ensuring electricity connection, but other things will follow at the right time,” he stated.

This was in response to a section of Rift Valley leaders who criticised the way he handled the maize scandal.

During the event where the DP launched the Ndia Technical Training College, he explained that he would concentrate on assisting the president to achieve his agenda since he took an oath to develop the country.

If the promises we made as a Jubilee government are not fulfilled, I will be the first person to be put to task because I am the one who took an oath to assist the President,” he added.

Earlier in November, three MPs, Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills), Joshua Kuttuny (Cherengany) and Silas Tiren (Moiben), had accused the DP of planning to import maize from his secret farm in Congo.

They were attacking his suggestion to North Rift farmers that they should contemplate ditching maize farming for avocados.

While at the event, he also divulged that the state had set aside Kshs30,000 for every student joining the institution.
