Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Monday appeared before senators where he was seen dozing off during the grilling session.
Sonko, who had been summoned by the County Public Accounts and Investments Committee (PAIC), struggled to stay attentive as the legislators fielded their audit queries.
The session seemed to have taken a toll on the county head as his head bobbed in exhaustion with some subtle intermittent yawns.

Sonko was forced to explain his reasoning behind the matatu CBD ban which had resulted in commuters walking for long distances to the designated terminals.
He held that the ban would continue as he sort to restore sanity to the congestion in the city, a directive he rescinded the following day.
The decision was made after the realisation that many innocent commuters, including senior citizens, those with health challenges requiring emergency medical attention, expectant mothers and children travelling with their parents, all suffered untold inconvenience.
During the Monday session, Sonko asked Nairobians to support the move exuding optimism that the situation will improve.
He opined that the ban would help commuters keep fit as many people don't go to the gym.
Observant Kenyans did not spare Sonko as they took notice of his head as his hair was particularly glistening.
One user noted, "As he has ordered repainting of buildings am sure he is setting an example by painting his head. Aki Sonko."
