Yatta MP Charles Kilonzo’s Mother, Agnes Njeri Kilonzo is in critical condition after unknown assailants broke into her home.
According to reports, the attackers broke into her home in Ndalani ward, Yatta constituency on Saturday night, November 8, 2018, and inflicted her with serious head injuries.
They are believed to have attacked her using a machete, leaving her fighting for her life.

Njeri was first admitted to the Matuu Level Four Hospital where she was stabilized.
She was later airlifted to the Nairobi Hospital on Sunday, December 9, 2018, for specialized treatment.
The attackers’ motives had not been identified at the time of this publication.
Yatta Police boss Eric Ng’etich, however, acknowledged the incident’s happening.
He further confirmed that investigations were underway to find the perpetrators and bring them to book.
The arrival of the airplane transporting the MP’s mother caused a standstill at the Nairobi Hospital with several ambulances rushing to receive her.
Njeri is reportedly the wife to late Police Commissioner, Philip Kilonzi.
