4 Gangsters Behind Priest John Njoroge's Murder Killed in Botched K1 Club Robbery

Police gunned down four armed robbers believed to have been involved in the murder of Catholic priest John Njoroge.

According to Gigiri OCPD Vitalis Otieno, the police acted on a tip-off from civilians that the four were planning to raid K1 club in Parklands, Nairobi.

The gangsters were killed before they managed to execute their plans to rob the club, to the reprieve of many.

Three guns, two of which were pistols and one said to be homemade were retrieved from the scene.

Before the Killing, the gangsters are said to have been targeting people moving in and out of banking halls and ATMs.

The police revealed that they had been trailing the gang for a while before they finally managed to nub them in the act

Father John Njoroge was killed in Kinoo while he was taking the church offering to a bank in Kikuyu town.

According to Kiambu County Police Commander Andiel Nyange, a gang of four on two motorcycles blocked the priest on a rough road and demanded the money in his car.

One then shot through the windscreen of the Toyota Harrier car and a bullet hit the priest in the chest.

The priest was rushed to Kikuyu Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
