Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore Performs Odi Dance At Churchill Show

Safaricom Chief Executive Officer Bob Collymore surprised Kenyans when he started dancing at a show organised to usher in 2019.

He had been invited to speak at the new years eve edition of the popular comedy program Churchill Show when he decided to let loose.

He tried performing a dancing style commonly known as ‘Odi’ and left the attendees in stitches.

The telco boss who was clearly in a jovial mood challenged politician Peter Kenneth to a dance battle, much to the entertainment of the crowd.

During the show, he was introduced to Moesha Kay, a dancer who has been supporting over 2000 needy girls.

After hearing her story, Collymore promised to sponsor 18 girls for five years as a commemoration of the company’s 18-year stint in Kenya.

Moesha, during a previous appearance at the same show, made headlines after Kenyans contributed over Kshs 1 million to support her noble cause.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s niece who is the CEO of KICC Nana Gecaga had pledged Kshs 100,000.

Huddah Monroe, who was also in attendance, pledged to contribute Kshs 200,000 while news anchor Betty Kyallo promised Kshs 100,000.

Total cash collected came to over Kshs 100, 000 as the pledges stood at Kshs 910, 000 leaving the girls in tears on stage.
