Dan Njoroge, 32, has redefined the meaning of success after he rose from being a mere hawker to commanding a multi-million car hire company.
Njoroge, the founder of Lesus Executive Limited, narrated to Citizen TV that he started his blossoming empire with nothing but a single room, which doubled as his place of residence, with a mattress and modem six years ago.
He further divulged that his young executive car hire company never owned a car but he would always borrow those of his friends.
“I started this company with nothing, my first office was a single room, mattress and a modem.” he stated.
He explained that he began his business in 2013 as a broker linking car owners with big companies.
Before becoming a hawker, Njoroge claimed that he had worked as a banker for four years before he left in search of a bigger opportunity.
“When I left banking I was all out there thinking I got all the knowledge that I got to get another bigger job, but unfortunately it happened that I didn’t get nothing.” he continued.
He then landed on to selling stationery but was not quite impressed with the job since he was straining a lot.
At one point, life became too hard for him that he was forced to sell all his possession and seek refuge from friends.
Today, Njoroge boasts of running a company full of high-end fleet of cars that includes Range Rovers, Cardillac, Rolls Royce Phantom among others.
He, therefore, challenged young people not to be fazed by the pasts to the point of letting it determine the future.
“That brilliant business idea that you have, is your biggest capital that you can always have. Use what you have at any particular point...never wish you had more,” he concluded.
However, questions have been raised over how he managed to accumulate that much wealth within a short period of time to a point of owning the top-of-the-range vehicles.
