Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, on Wednesday, announced the reorganization of senior officials in his Ministry.
In a statement to newsrooms, Dr Matiang'i stated that the reshuffle was necessary to enhance service delivery.
"It is necessary that from time to time, we strengthen and enhance our leadership teams both at the headquarters and in the field.
"As we start the New Year 2019, therefore, it has been decided that the following deployments of National Government administration officials take place in the regions and the counties with immediate effect," he stated.
In the changes where 59 senior officials have been affected, Flora Mworora was named Nairobi county commissioner while Pauline Dola will head Kisumu and Wilson Wanyanga (Kiambu).
Here are some of the other appointments made at the Interior Ministry' headquarters:
1. William Kangethe - Principal Administrative Secretary
2. Wycliffe Ogallo - Secretary National Administration
3. Moffat M. Kangi - Secretary Internal Security
4. Peter Thuku - Secretary Peace Building and Conflict Management and Disaster Response
5. Amb Mohamed Saleh - Secretary Liaison
The new regional commissioners:
6. Wilfred Nyagwanga - Central Region
7. Mongo Chimwaga - Rift Valley Region
8. Anne Ngetich - Western Region
9. James Kianda - Nyanza Region
10. Wilson Njega - Nairobi Region
11. John Elungata - Coast Region
12. Isaiah Nakoru - Eastern Region
13. Mohamed Birik - North Eastern Region
