8 Celebrities Caught Up in Wilkins Fadhili's Scam

The list of people who have been victims of Wilkins Fadhili Odinga's brand strategy scam continues to grow.

It appears that Kenyan celebrities have also been caught up in the scam that was outed by BBC Business Editor Larry Madowo.

1. Larry Madowo

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the former NTV news anchor warned the public not to be conned by the man who goes by the name Wilkins Odinga Fadhili.

Fadhili had posted a picture of Larry claiming the journalist was one of the people he was positioning to compete globally.

2. Willis Raburu

Citizen TV's news anchor was also surprised to find a photo of himself and Wilkins doing rounds on social media.

Just like Larry, Wilkins had claimed to be Raburu's personal brand manager and had hiked his fees to cater for his business' expansion.

3. Betty Kyallo

K24 news anchor Betty Kyallo also confessed about her engagements with the exposed brand strategist.

She denied that Wilkins was her brand manager, stating that he had expressed his interest in working with her.

"However, nothing solidified after that one meeting. But he continued to convince people we were working together with this one picture," responded Betty, when a photo of the two of them surfaced online.

4. Elani Music

The music group, that comprises Bryan Chewa, Maureen Kunga and Wamboi, was also mentioned as victims of the scam.

Fadhili had indicated that he was working with them to understand their audience, manage their music and shape their content.

5. Victoria Rubadiri

Journalists appear to have been a favourite for Wilkins as Citizen TV's Victoria Rubadiri had also been posted as one of the celebrities the fraud was managing.

"Wilkins sits next to me at a function, has a photo snapped and all of a sudden becomes my brand manager," protested Rubadiri.

She continued, "Let me be clear. I am NOT managed by him or any company affiliated with him."

6. Adelle Onyango

Wilkins used the Kiss 100 radio presenter’s name to attract clients by lying how he was managing her.

7. Julius Yego

Wilkins' snare traversed celebrities from journalists, musicians as well as athletes.

In what has now become his mode of operation, he also claimed to be the person behind javelin champion Julius Yego.

Like everyone else, Yego denied having ever worked with Fadhili and further emphasised that he had never met him.

8. Irene Koki

The first female captain at Kenya Airways got a rude shock when someone informed her that Fadhili, who she had no prior knowledge of, was using her image to promote his work.

In his Facebook post, Fadhili had narrated how he first met Koki and described her as very calculative and calm.

Again, he alleged that he was her brand manager, adding how proud he was that Koki had set multiple records at the airline.
