Matuu Tycoon Found Dead in Car

The death of a prominent businessman from Matuu in Machakos County has left area residents with more questions than answers.

Police reports indicate that the man only identified as Joe was found dead in his car on Saturday morning.

What puzzled many was that he was holding a plate of rice and a thermos flask when his lifeless body was discovered.

A pair of handcuffs was found on the counter of the deceased tycoon’s shop that is near the crime scene.

While the cause of his death is still not clear, many suspect foul play given the circumstances in which he was found.

Yatta OCPD Eric Ng’etich confirmed the incident, adding that the deceased’s body did not any visible marks.

"It is an unfortunate and puzzling incident. The deceased has been identified as Joe, a prominent businessman in the area. He was found dead on his car seat,” he explained.

Ng’etich stated that the police would pursue all leads to unravel the cause of death.

This incident comes barely three months after another businessman was found dead in a similar circumstance.

Peter Mwangangi was found tied in his car with blood stains on his abdomen suggesting that a syringe had been used to inject a lethal substance into his body.
