Romantic Man Surprises Policewoman at Central Police Station

Musician Murua Muziki stormed the Central police station on Valentine's day and gifted Irene Chepkoech, a policewoman, a rose and a voucher for a night of two at the After 40 hotel in the Central Business District (CBD).

Chepkoech was among hundreds of others who had participated in a viral social media challenge dubbed #loveintheairchallenge, started by the musician weeks ago.

According to Muziki, he was fulfilling his promise of celebrating Valentines with officers from the station.

Earlier in the afternoon, Muziki flanked by tens of hooting motorbike riders and sizable crowd drove his Land Cruiser SUV to the Central Police station.

He was accompanied by a cadre of camera-wielding scribes drawn from media houses across the city.

In a  dramatic fashion, Muziki's motorcade snaked its ways from Moi Avenue to Kenyatta Avenue then Uhuru Highway before making a beeline for the University way where Central Police station is located.

However, there was a slight hitch as Muziki was denied entry until the OCPD gave clearance after learning that the crowd was visiting to celebrate Valentine’s day.

When the gates were finally opened, Muziki drove inside the station and dished flowers to all the policewomen at the station.

The male officers were also not left out and got their roses from Miss Kenya Methodist University who was also in attendance.

Elsewhere, Citizen TV journalist, Waihiga Mwaura, surprised his wife Joyce Omondi with a bouquet of flowers and fruits during an ongoing show on Switch TV.

Omondi had already signed out and thanked her audience for watching when Waihiga approached her with the bouquet of flowers.
