President Paul Kagame on Monday drove his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta to take a chopper ride in Kigali, Rwanda.
In photos shared by the Office of the President of Rwanda, Kagame bid farewell to Uhuru at the end of his working visit including a talk at the National Leadership Retreat.
During the event dabbed #Umwiherero2019, President Uhuru applauded the continued cooperation between the countries to the benefit of their citizens.
"The relationship between our two countries is probably one of the best relations that we have as Kenya.
"Rwanda alone will not make it, Kenya alone will not make it, but together we have a huge and tremendous potential of growing prosperity for our people and our countries," Uhuru stated.
Uhuru exuded optimism that the cordial relationship between the two countries would continue thriving despite existing challenges.
"We have challenges but I am convinced that with goodwill and good intentions, which is what we have for our people, we will resolve even those challenges that are ahead of us," the Kenyan president added.
Uhuru expressed his impression with Rwanda's National Leadership Retreat indicating that he would like to replicate it back in Kenya.
The four-day retreat was centred on themes geared at making Rwandans sustainably transition to more secure livelihoods and an exit from poverty.
On his part, President Kagame told the conference "If others have made a choice to bring problems to you, they should find you ready to absorb it, contain it, and make sure it doesn’t give them what they want".
