Ababu Wears Jeans on Official Trip & Kenyans Can't Let Him Be

Foreign Affairs CAS, Ababu Namwamba, was for the better part of Tuesday and Wednesday morning, bashed by Kenyans for his dress code, denim jeans, jacket and sunglasses.

Namwamba was headed to represent President Uhuru Kenyatta at the SADC Solidarity Conference with Saharawi Republic.

Kenyans on Twitter could not let Namwamba be, bashing him and citing he looked like a Congolese musician.

"As a leader, you should observe dress code cause you are representing Kenya not your style," wrote Luke Mwichabe.

"Mheshimiwa’s code of casual dressing is off the hook generally. I think a key fashion guru should come in play," Quinn Adalla commented.

"It's good but you should have been a little official in your attire. Our president is not a musician," George Oduru stated.

On his part, the former Budalangi MP stated that he likes to dress light when he travels.

"Just got to love KOT, don’t you! Enjoyed this “Ababu-Terrah clad” brouhaha amidst the bustle of preparing to return home from representing my boss, my President in Pretoria.

"On dress code thingie, I travel easy, and dress smart for officials. Denim is dope. That is my style buddies!" Namwamba stated.

Earlier this week, the KICC CEO, Nana Gecaga, was also bashed by MPs after wearing a t-shirt and jeans to an official function.
