KTN News anchor Czeda Brenda went into labour during the break in her Morning Express show on Friday.
A highly placed source told Kenyans.co.ke that he walked in just as the presenter was being escorted into an ambulance that was waiting.
During the show, she was hosting communications strategist Mark Bichachi and lawyer Brenda Mdivo in reviewing the week 's top stories and at some point, the show took a commercial break and that was when the labour pains hit her.
Viewers were then treated to some minutes of music and when the show resumed, she was replaced by Stevens Muendo who went on to host the Easy Friday segment.
She was rushed to a Nairobi hospital and Kenyans.co.ke wishes her the best of luck.
The top scribe has been hosting the morning show while heavy with child, a show of commitment to her job.
Czeda joined KTN News in 2018 among a fresh crop of journalists brought on board as part of a revamped strategy.
The media house had unveiled her alongside Jessie Rodgers, Maalika Kazia and Frida Mwaka after the exit of Betty Kyallo, Yvonne Okwara among other journalists.
She was previously at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) before taking up the position at KTN.
Prior to joining the Good Morning Kenya show at KBC, she had served a short stint at Ebru TV.
Apart from her prowess as a news presenter and host, she is also a skilled writer and reporter.
