Woman Abandons Her 5 Children at Machakos High Court

In an unfortunate disregard of her parental duties, a woman, on Friday, dumped her five children at a High Court and fled.

The incident took place at Machakos High Court where the woman, who had a land case, sought to take the drastic measures upon learning of an undercut move by the respondent.

Reports by Capital News, indicate that the woman had won the case where she had sued a man over the land in question.

However, the respondent moved to a different court in Nairobi where he obtained stay orders, which suspended the woman's win in the case.

Upon learning of the development, the woman took her children to the court that had given her the land and left them there unattended in protest.

The case had been ongoing at the courts for over 15 years.

In a heartbreaking story earlier in the week, a street urchin Gladys Wanja's baby was stolen from the Central Business District in Nairobi.

Speaking to NTV, Wanjiku narrated that her daughter was playing with toys when she was lured by a stranger along Latema road.

The mother added that the suspect, whom she described as light and plump, had been buying her daughter some milk for the past week.
