DP William Ruto Blocked From Leaving in His Helicopter After Church Service in Kiambaa

Deputy President William Ruto was on Sunday blocked from leaving in his helicopter after attending a church service in Kiambaa, Kiambu County.

Citizen TV reports that Ruto's supporters positioned themselves outside the church as they waited for the service to end.

When the DP finally got out, they started chanting slogans in support of his presidency and demanded that he addresses them.

They were in branded yellow t-shirts and had a banner which was inscribed, "Dr. William Samoei Ruto, Our Choice 2022."

The DP gave in and addressed the crowd that had gathered around the helicopter. He was then allowed to leave.

Earlier on, when Ruto was still inside the church, he stated that the government would remain focused on delivering its promise to Kenyans.

He went on to explain that the government would not be distracted by the Opposition.

"As Uhuru's assistant, I would like to assure you that we will remain focused on bringing development and uniting Kenyans.

"Let them continue making noise. They are used to it. We are trying to show them how things are done," stated Ruto.
