Inside Sonko's Plan to Reconcile Raila and Ruto

Nairobi Governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko has vowed to reconcile the Deputy President William Ruto and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The Governor was speaking during a relative's burial on Saturday at Umoa village in Makueni County.

Sonko stated he would seek support from Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"They are celebrating Ruto and Raila's spat, which is very embarrassing. I'm appealing to all leaders to respect one another," Sonko noted.

He accused the allies of DP Ruto and the ODM Party leader of inciting the two leaders.

"I am convinced that if Ruto and Raila reconcile and forgive each other, this Country will enjoy everlasting peace," he stated.

He also called upon church leaders to help in uniting the two leaders who have been warring in the recent past.

The governor also dismissed claims from a section of leaders that he is planning to succeed President Uhuru in 2022.

"If it's about 2022 politics, leave Sonko out of this. Let us have a line up from the handshake," he added.
