Akothee Pays Hospital Bill for Pregnant Woman Hit by Truck

Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee came to the aid of a woman, Catherine Wanjiku, who was hit by a vehicle on January 14, 2019, while 14 weeks pregnant.

Akothee, the musician, paid Wanjiku's hospital bill after Caleb Onyango posted his wife's condition on Facebook and tagged her.

"Guys please share this until it reaches Akothee, we're in the final stages of therapy before the caesarian delivery and still short of the targeted finances.

"I know as a mother she can help push this in the shortest time possible," read Onyango's post on his Facebook page.

The message reached the musician, who paid Wanjiku's hospital bill at the RFH Specialist Hospital in Ruai.

"She is in good hands and the most inspiring words I heard from Caleb is that tonight will be the first night that he will sleep at peace.

"He has had sleepless nights since the wife got an accident three months ago,"  Akothee captioned a photo in which she was visiting Wanjiku.

Onyango noted that his wife sustained serious injuries on her pelvis and lower back.

The couple, who had their ultrasound conducted on Saturday to determine the baby's vitals and general welfare, stated they would call the baby after the musician.

"We were also shown the gender, we already named her Baraka Akoth in honor of the one and only MADAM BOSS," read part of Onyango's post.
